Mrs. Orwig subbed in to attending the celebration after President McFarland was unable to. Mrs. Orwig wrote that the garden were beautiful and praised E.F.A Reinisch and the people of Topeka. She also mentioned that all 17,000 roses in the garden were donated by multiple different groups.
