Clarke's upcoming book, "Hey Mister-Your Alligator's Loose" to be published in August 2009; Excerpt is a chapter retelling Clarke's experience of the day of the 1966 Topeka Tornado while working as the director of the Topeka Zoo and giving background information about the storm; Excerpt recounts how Clarke carefully patrolled the zoo and monitored the tornado's progress; Excerpt explain that no zoo animals were harmed, but that much of Topeka was not as lucky. However, it was a good opportunity to help his community by having the zoo be a safe community space and volunteering with the Red Cross, as well as observing zoo animal behavior in times of severe weather.
