DescriptionThree page typewritten document submitted to TSCPL as a part of its collecting initiative "I Remember the July 1951 Flood"; tells the personal memories of John Burgardt, who was 20 years old in July 1951 and living in the Kenwood area of Topeka; he was one of the civilian volunteers who helped to sandbag the water plant and save it from the flood; also recalls seeing debris hit the Brickyard Bridge, which was later destroyed by the flood
