About the Local History Collection

The Local History Collections at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library consist of a wide array of materials related to the history and people of Topeka and Shawnee County, Kansas. Items include photographs, documents, blueprints, oral histories, and three-dimensional objects.

This platform is designed to provide the public with more access to the trove of resources available for historical research that is held by the library. This database is being constantly updated, and new materials are being digitized for the public to view.
